To be healthy, it doesn’t need to be boring. Tasty can be healthy too. This summer, let us make our healthy diet tasty and finger licking good!!

These are some basic and refreshing drinks you can add in your healthy diet. In this summer, say no to boring food and yes to healthy lifestyle.

Breakfast is the most important part of meal. Many ignore having breakfast because of their tight schedule. What if you can make your breakfast in just 5 minutes and have it without any guilt of taste or calories?

Let us make our breakfast smoothie with exciting seasonal fruits.

1. Oat Smoothie

With least prep, mix 1 cup of rolled oats with 1 cup of milk and soak it overnight. Next day, grind all the mixture adding one ripe banana with 1 tbsp of honey. Top the mixture with your favorite fruits and enjoy.
Oats lower the cholesterol level and help improve blood sugar.

2. Avocado-Banana smoothie

Next, let us make an avocado smoothie with the least ingredients you need. Start with mixing 1 ripe banana and 1 ripe avocado with 2 cups of milk and blend it nicely. Serve it immediately and enjoy.

Both banana and avocado helps in better digestion and is great for migraine patients.

3. Coffee-Banana smoothie

Our day can rarely stat without caffeine these days. To get a boost of caffeine, let us make a coffee smoothie. Mix 1 tbsp of coffee, 1 ripe frozen banana (to make it thick and creamy), 1 tbsp of honey and 2-3 drops of vanilla extract with 2 cups of milk. You can garnish the smoothie with your favorite chocolate powder or cocoa powder.

4. Mango-Banana smoothie

Mix 1 ripe mango, 1 ripe frozen banana, 1 cup or 2 cups of milk, and add 1 tbsp of Greek or any other yoghurt.

5. Spinach-pineapple smoothie

Now, let us make a veggie smoothie. Mix 2 cups spinach, 2 cups water, 1 cup mango (chopped), 1 cup pineapple, 2 cups ripe banana.
Spinach has anti inflammatory properties.
Who among us have not watched ‘Popeye- the sailor man’ in our childhood and his favorite food was Spinach coz it aids good bone health.

  1. If you want to make you smoothie more sweet, add Dates. They are a healthy option and will make your smoothie more sweet.
  2. If you want the texture of smoothie to be thin or thick, add milk according to your liking.
  3. For making it more healthy, add chia seeds which is high in Omega-3 fatty acids.
