Munnar, Kerala

Munnar is a hilly town located in the Idukki district of the southwestern Indian state of Kerala.

Munnar is a beautiful hill station, and was a summer resort for the British during the British Raj.

The town is divided into two parts: Old Munnar, where the tourist information office is, and Munnar, where the bus station and most guest houses are located.

The Eravikulam National Park is the main Neelakurinji flowering area and the number of tourists allowed in the park during the blooming period was limited to 2,750 a day.

Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh

Banaras and Kashi, is a historical city in northern India which is considered one among the 7 oldest cities in India and is renowned all over the world for ancient temples mostly dedicated to Lord Shiva.

It is also famous for the old ghats and the worship be of the river Ganges.

Best time to visit Varanasi is between October and March.

Kasol, Himachal Pradesh

Popularly known as ‘Mini Israel’, Kasol is a beautiful village in Himachal Pradesh, northern India.

The best way to reach Kasol is by road if you are leaving from Delhi, Chandigarh or Manali. There are luxury buses run by HRTC from Delhi, Chandigarh, Manali & many other main cities.

There is an Airport near to Kasol, which is located in Bhuntar (Kullu).

Jaipur, Rajasthan

Jaipur is a major tourist attraction amongst Indian as well as international travellers.

It hosts several attractions like the City Palace, Govind Dev ji Temple, Vidhan Sabha, Birla Temple, several massive Rajput forts.

It also serves as a stepping stone for travelers heading to the desert cities of Jodhpur and Jaisalmer.

Alapuzza, Kerala

The Ambalapuzha temple festival is particularly impressive. Five elephants carry the Krishna idol for quite a long distance with a music accompaniment. The temple is 14 kilometres away from Alappuzha. It is famous for its rose palpayasam. The temple makes this traditional very sweet milk-based dish as an offering. Because of long boiling the milk condenses turning light pink colour.

Alappuzha is known for its Snake Boat races and one of the prestigious competitions glorifying this tradition is the Nehru Trophy Snake Boat Race.

Alappuzha is also well known for its house boats.
